The name Liverada is inspired by a small piece of land in the area of Kallithea Patras, famed for the unique terroir and quality of produced grapes.
Livera or Liverada is the name of a mystery ancient Roman goddess, whose worship is connected to land and vine fertility, wine drinking and preservation of freedom.
The residents of the area connect the name with Ottoman occupation period: Libero means Free.
