The name Liverada is inspired by a small piece of land in the area of Kallithea Patras, famed for the unique terroir and quality of produced grapes.

Livera or Liverada is the name of a mystery ancient Roman goddess, whose worship is connected to land and vine fertility, wine drinking and preservation of freedom.

The residents of the area connect the name with Ottoman occupation period: Libero means Free.

Origin
Selected privately owned vineyards in the area of Kallithea, Patras ( VQPRD zone) at 300 to 400 meters altitude. The age of the vines approaches 50 years. Low fertility and yields that range from 400 to 450 kg / ha.
Vinification
Manual harvesting in small baskets and destemming. Extraction for 15 to 20 days in stainless steel vinificators under controlled temperature. Aged in French oak barrels 225 lt for 12 months.
Characteristics
Purple colour with crimson hues. Aromas of blue and black fruits: blackberry, cherry and berries. Hints of sweet spices, butter and vanilla. Excellent rich structure, soft tannins and a beautiful long finish. Capable of further ageing.

Meat baked with prunes, grilled pork, roast boar, sausage variety.
